Home And Garden Show

Hosted at the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center on Saturday, March 12th, this event showcases some of the area’s top professionals in the home and garden industry. One of eastern North Carolina’s longest-running home and garden events, it’s the perfect opportunity to speak with industry professionals and get your questions answered. With exhibits focused on remodeling, landscaping, and decorating, this is the ultimate opportunity to check out the latest market trends for everything home and garden.

Biltmore Blooms

This spring, from March 19th through May 26th, Biltmore – nestled in the mountains of Asheville – comes to life with wave after wave of gorgeous flowers. Acres of formal and informal gardens feature dramatic plantings in world-class designs. Horticultural specialists continually work to maintain the original vision for the gardens and grounds, including a rose garden featuring over 250 varieties.

Spring Historic Homes & Gardens Tour

The New Bern Historical Society will be hosting a tour of historic homes and gardens on Friday, April 8th & Saturday, April 9th. This annual event features some of the most beautiful and interesting homes found in two historic neighborhoods. Visit the living quarters, study the original architecture, restorations, and furnishings, and stroll through magnificent gardens in full bloom.

Festival of Fun 2016

The city of New Bern is hosting their premiere annual children’s event on Saturday, April 16 – from 10 am until 3 pm. Join this free celebration at Union Point Park for a day filled with games, inflatable rides, costumed characters, stage performances, and great food.

MerleFest

Music lovers will have no trouble finding great entertainment during this four-day festival, from April 28th through May 1st. Held on the grounds of Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, MerleFest is recognized as one of the best music festivals in the state. Numerous artists – performing bluegrass, country, blues, rock, and more – will provide entertainment on 13 stages.

Jacksonville Jamboree

Held annually at the Jacksonville Commons, this celebration of spring, sports, and family is scheduled for Saturday, May 7th – from 10 am until 6 pm. Enjoy the musical entertainment, the annual ‘Jacksonville’s Got Talent’ competition, and mouthwatering food from local vendors. This well-rounded family event offers free admission and parking.
