Employee Spotlight – George Eastman

George A. Eastman III
President – Eastman’s Carpets and Flooring, Inc

In high school, George began helping his dad with the business by taking old carpet and flooring out of homes and businesses. After school, he would work in the warehouse unloading supply trucks. In the summers, when he wasn’t fishing, George spent his time stripping and padding homes to prep for new carpet to be installed.

In 1987, he became a full-time installer with Eastman’s. He worked in the field for 6 years learning everything there was to know about installing flooring.

From 1993 to 1999, George worked for his father as a salesman in the store. After his father passed in 1999, George took on the responsibility of President of Eastman’s Carpet and Flooring, Inc.

George and his wife Lynne have been married for 30 years and have two sons, Holton and Asa. In 2015, Asa gave them their first granddaughter, Acelynne. George and his family attend St. Paul’s church in Morehead City, and he goes on mission trips with the church’s youth group each year. He’s a strong supporter of Future Farmers of Aca. George is a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA) and is an avid hunter. He is also a coach for the FFA Hunter Safety program at West Carteret High School.
